The prospect of living in Zimbabwe is something of a risk at the moment, so you could imagine that there might be little appetite for supporting Zimbabwe’s casinos. Actually, it appears to be operating the other way, with the awful market conditions creating a greater ambition to bet, to try and locate a fast win, a way out of the difficulty.

Since the market has deflated by more than 40 percent in the past few years and with the connected poverty and conflict that has resulted, it is not well-known how healthy the vacationing industry which is the backbone of Zimbabwe’s casinos will do in the near future. How many of them will survive until things get better is merely not known.
